How to Apply

Applying to MCC's CSTEP program is easy.

Application Process

  1. Application received by CSTEP
  2. Applicant information is reviewed by CSTEP Coordinator

    1. If accepted, the applicant will receive an appointment letter to meet with one of the Advisors to complete an Academic Outline and a career plan.
    2. If not accepted, the applicant will receive an explanation for the non-acceptance. Applicant can request a meeting with the CSTEP Coordinator to review the application.

  3. If application is unclear or incomplete, it will be denied.
  4. If a meeting with the student is needed to complete the application process, an appointment letter will be sent to the application for an assessment with an Advisor

CSTEP accepts students on a rolling basis, until the enrollment goal is met. This means that you are able to submit your CSTEP application anytime during the semesters, intersession or summer sessions. 

Once accepted, you become a CSTEP Scholar and will join peers and colleagues that have experienced success. You join the MCC and NY Statewide C/STEP family. Within this network, you will have access to resources beneficial to your educational journey.  

Incoming freshmen are also accepted through the CSTEP Summer Bridge program. This program is especially designed for High School senior that are accepted to MCC for the fall semester, to assist with the transition from high school to college.
